I am installing an MSD 6A and Blaster 2 coil on my AMC 360. I pretty much understand all of the connections except how the red wire is supposed to connect to the coil connector and what happens to the coil connector afterwards, as all the schematics seem to me that it does not reattach to the blaster, doesn't seem like it would fit to me anyways. Also, I ran the connection directly to the distributor, and seems to eliminate alot of wires including the one to solenoid on my 2150. Can any one help me with some clarity on these issues, I am in day 3 of my weekend install and I am ready to be done. Thanks.

The red wire in the pic is from the MSD. The yellow wire disconnected is the original wire that I disconnected, and the green of corse is original.

The coil gets connected with the black wire and the orange wire from the MSD Module.
To answer your question about the old coil wire, throw away the old coil connector. Then just cut and strip the wires. Solder them together or use a but splicer.

I did Busa, that thread is how I started my project. I am just unclear exactly how the small is red is actually supposed to attach to the coil connector. seems like it is a very loose connection. Is the coil connector then just tied off securely somewhere?

Ahh, just reread your post. I understand. Would I attach the red to the yellow or green wire to make the connection?

Got it figured out, got in runnning but had an extremely high idle and engine run on. Got to get it figured out.

Thanks for the help, I got it lined out.
