Need a windshield frame 86 CJ-7

my glass is ok and wiper motor. What do you suggest: Where do i shop for this?
sat in the barn and the frame is rusted. Also need a windshiel hinge.

You could get the entire assembly at a salvage yard. That would be less work but as you said your glass and wiper are good so you could also buy new. Here are a couple of links:

Hinges should be easy to find. Quadratec.com is just one option.

The repop frames will need a little tweaking to get the glass and gasket to fit properly.
I had to grind a little off the inside area to make the space for the gasket large enough. Easy easy the metal thickness was oe quality, got it from quadratec.

Look for a YJ frame with a little work it will work for you. I've done it I have a YJ frame on my 86 CJ7 .

when i was looking to replace my windshield frame on my 77 CJ5 i found a yj windshield frame complete with windshield, wipers, motor, hinges rear view mirror and even the sun visors for $50. it was too good of a deal to pass up. i have an extra set of windshield hinges id part with for cheap unless you want new.

I'm giving one away but it's already promised to someone that's picking it up tonight. You can buy a cheap aftermarket one from Certifit off of Front Street and 435 for like $70.

CJ windshield frames rust, that is the law.
buy a new one, even an after market.
The one at the jy may be a bit better than yours but don't bet on it.
Collins Bro.s has a decent price but you still pay shipping.
