hey guys i have a CJ5 with a T-176 trany. i know it's not a scrambler but the more places that i put this out the better chance i have of getting a quick response. my Transmission to bell housing to Transmission bolts decided that they needed a vacation. i only had one left, and it was out 3/4 of the way out. my input shaft bearing is shot.

the main thing i had a question with is the counter shaft. when i took the Transmission apart to remove all the shrapnel from the bottom of the Transmission this is what i saw when i removed the counter shaft.

i would assume i need to find a replacement? or would it still be use able? i would think there would be to much slop in the bearings if i put it back together with that one. and if i need to replace it where would i be able to get one by itself. everything else seems to be good. thanks for any replies and looking.

Replace it there is to much wear in that shaft any clearance that bearings have will cause them to move and wear the shaft and bearings faster, think bouncing up and down

That shaft is dead.......
make sure the tranny mount holes in the bellhousing, are not stripped out.
