Odd Dana 44 Warn Hub ?

I have this neighbor - I know he messes with my Jeep out of jealousy - he is not cool - but we try and be polite -

Tonight the Jeep front axle will not engage (twin sticks) - I know I have not taken it out of 4 wheel since I was out Sunday...

I get out and one hub is 4x4 and the other 4x2 -

I put em both in 4x4 and disengaged the rear - and she engaged just fine -

The question is - could any thing negative happen to the front hubs?
