I have a 75 231 that has no coolant drains. I need to know where to drill and tap this engine. I've search google and have found nothing. Help!!! Please!!!
I know you specified '75 231 c.i. engine so I will pass along what I know on the 225. The Dauntless Buick 225 V6 engine has two 1/8" NPT plugs on each side of block in between the soft plugs. I installed petcock for easy drain when the time comes. If you have a copy of" V-6 Performance " by Pat Ganahl
you will see the plugs in a couple photos. mike
Thanks, but some years were not drilled believe it or not. I think I'm going to leave it be and just remove a soft plug to drain. I wish I had of seen it before it when in the vehicle.
