so my jeep came with two large <-BAD WORD-> cepeck lights mounted but never wired so i am going to hook them up today my question is about a relay should i put a relay or just get a heavy duty switch or both thanks for any input
 
Definitely run a relay.

Use a relay, for a lot of reasons
I run from an auxilary fuse box to give each pair a fuse of its own, and run one hot to a switch bank, that way my bank can run multiple relays with less wires, ans I do not have to deal with voltage drop running miles of wiring under the dash and back.
