2006 Ford F350 CCLB with the dreaded 6.0 that has given me no problems
So what i have been told it that the one and only tire manufactor in the US that made large tires for all of the major name companys

CLOSED ITS DOORS

So there are currently NO large tires being made (nothing over 37")

Now my dilemma Where and the hell am I getting my tires for the jeep from
unless i can find someone with some in a warehouse somewhere:dunno:
I was looking at getting a set of 40" SSR's with a set of nice bead locks but now it looks like im back to the drawing board

Since swampers are made in china, did that co. make the carcus for the whole world?

Yes, I have been looking for Interco Super Swampers. I heard they closed up at least one plant. It is now very hard to find all but the most common sizes.
What I was looking for was 35 inch tires (not as big as what your were taking about) I wanted to go to bias ply since the main use of my jeep is off roading. Bias Ply is better off road but worse for street.
Another option is Pit Bull tires but they are very wide. Once again I wasn't looking for tires over 37 inches but I would think you should be able to find Pit Bull tires.
The reason I have been looking for tires is because I have a leak in the sidewall of one of my 35 inch BFG mud terrain. BFG changed the design of the Mud Terrain and I couldn't get the style already on my jeep. I have been looking all winter and now I gave up. I bought a Mud King to just replace the one tire that is wrecked. Mud King is a budget brand made by BFG.

Just got off the phone with 2 diffrent toyo dealers and they cant even get a 40
pit bulls in 40s are to wide for my likings

They are on back order and dont know when they will be getting them in

It looks like there is a lot of tires they are out of.:(
Kinda like reloading supplys.

I think the economy is to blame. Big off-road vehicles aren't necessary (although I'm sure many on this site would disagree). The makers of standard tires are not hurting as bad as Interco (the makers of SuperSwampers). After closing one of the bigger Interco plants I heard that I should check back later in the summer. They may start making the larger tire sizes again. I'm not so sure. If they had to close plants and downsize I think it would take quite a rebound in the economy to reopen those plants so quickly.
