Plug and play headlight upgrades?

Hi guys. Will my night driving improve by placing more expensive headlights in my CJ? I've read about various upgrades that require relays but I don't know how to do that. I'm looking for something that I can easily replace and not worry about fires, melting wires, etc.

I see 2 better grades of Sylvania lights but want to be sure they wouldn't be too powerful for my system.

There are many direct replacement head lamps for your CJ. I have put Delta lamps in many of my friends.

Thanks CJ. Looks like the Delta H4 is what I want. Do I assume correctly that any other H4 will also do fine and not overtax the wiring. I see KC offers them as well. Thanks.

I just read somewhere that KC Daylighter has direct replacement 7" headlights for the CJs now. Guarranteed forever (well, 23 yrs).. and I'm serious about that. It's what I'm getting.

OK - I think I've decided to pop in some Sylvania upgrades as I can't warrant the expense for the more expensive ones as little as its driven in the dark. They are 55/60 watt so I should be good. Thanks to all.
