Im starting a GM Turbo 400 Transmission swap into another cj replacing the T-5 . I need a converter and flex- plate. I have several 3 and 4 pad gm converters from th350/400s and was trying to find out if the pattern was the same as amc. Btw the 400 is a q-trac from a AMC 304 cj and the flex plate was not part of the deal so no way to verify. I've called around and gotten mixed answers from yes to no to an actual " what part of the car does it go to" from a counter Pearson at @&$? Zone

Sorry my fault. It's going behind a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l not a AMC 304 /401. I don't even know if they put q-trac and 258s together if not does the 999 plate interchange with the 400 flex plate? I suppose I could just make one

Cant help with the plate but I know they put them behind the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . I had a '79 with that set up

I really didn't think about weather or not they did until just now. I was only thinking about the converter assuming the plate would be easy. Thanks for the info I'll get the plate first and figure out the converter later.

Got lucky and found another waggy 727 with t/case adapter and converter so i don't need the GM Turbo 400 so it's free to a good home if anybody wants it
