HELP!! My children broke the turn signal cam which meant I had no blinkers for a little bit... I have now replaced that along with my bulbs, fuses and relay switches. (My first repair all by myself.. FUN!!) However, the rear turn signals aren't working. My front ones are flashing crazy fast.. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! :bang:

If your blinkers are blinking fast, there must be a short circuit or drain somewhere. I would start at the rear lights and check the circuit for any juice and work inward from there. Do the emergency flashers work normally? It does though sound like the problem is in the turn signal switch.

The E flashers aren't working at all however both my brakes and tail lights work. I appreciate the suggestions! I did replace the turn signal cam but not the switch and I hope like crazy I don't hafta pull that steering wheel again!!!

2 different circuits.
Switch the flashers around and see what happens.
BTW-the brake and turn sigs are routed through the turn signal lever circuit.
Blow the lever out and work it up and down a BUNCH of times to clean contacts.

Thanks LG! I will be printing all of these suggestions so I can have them handy when I break out my tool box

I would have never done that I always replace the whole switch a bad one causes all kinds of problems.

The only problem I had was the cam. My babies broke it on accident and when I ordered the part from my local auto parts store he came out and looked at it and was pretty sure that would be the only part I needed. I guess I am going to hafta replace all the original plastic parts but that makes me a little sad because they have lasted 30 years
