rotor button

Pulled my rotor button off and the chrome metal piece inside fell out.It keeps falling out when you try to put it back on.Is it still ok to use it or do i need to get another one?Just not sure if its ok if it falls out. thank you

Are you talking about the distributor rotor? If so you need to buy a new one. They are only a couple of dollars. I circled the part I think you are talking about.

Buy a distributor cap to. The button may have done some irregular wear on it.
Cheap insurance replacing both parts at the same time.

Yes thats what im talking about but its the metal piece inside the button not on top.

I would still replace it (and the cap). Not worth the hassle of it coming apart and stranding you.
