Rust issue

My CJ like every other one ever made has a rust hole just below the front corner of the door on the driver side. i can weld in a patch for the body but what about the support behind it?

You need to research a bit

Now I do not know which bracing you are talking about, but it could be a piece that someone makes, or it could be a piece you need to fab or have fabbed up.

- 1982 CJ 7 4.2liter T176,D300,D30,AMC20 3inch lift, ARB lockers front and rear, 4.10gears, 33inch tires.
That is a common rust area for cj's. You can use the pillar support to your advantage when patching it.

I think you would be talking about the "B" Pillar, which is what the seatbet attached to, correct? Jeep CJ Body Parts by Morris 4x4 Center has some, see if what you are looking for is here.
