1980 CJ7-258 I6, MC 2100 carb, team rush upgrade, T4, D300 tcase, D30 w/aussie locker in the front, AMC20 open, I think PO put 4.88s in the diffs, 35,000-135,000 miles, you pick. 4"susp lift, 2" shackle, 35" <-BAD WORD-> cepek AT's on black steel wheels, 1 1/4" spydertrak wheel spacers, most everything else i believe is stock, finding things out as I go
I just finished replacing all the lights EXCEPT the grill lights with LED's. Bought new flashers that work. I had to changed the "brake" fuse to a 30 from a 25. The brakes would not work, or would be dim. This fixed that problem. Now for my new problem. I finally took the jeep for a test drive at night and I noticed that the side turn signals do not work and later found that they turn off once I turn on the headlights. Same with the hazards. Is this how they are supposed to work? It does not make sense to me, I figure the side turn signal lights are most important at night, but they currently stop working once I turn on the headlights like they were made that way.

Is this how they are supposed to work? If so, can I rig it so that they do turn on at night even if the headlights are on?

Thank you, Ill post some pictures up tomorrow once the florida sun comes up.

I looked at an article and they were discribing how they had to changeout the flasher to an electronic type due to how the LEDs react to the old style flashers....but as usual I cant find the article

I believe that the new flashers I installed are electronic, but I'm not sure. Both the turn and stop/hazard flashers have been replaced.

How do the side turn/markers usually work? I replaced the bulb turns with led sigs, both only had two wires.

Disregard, the interchanging turn Sig flashers are not compatible with leds. I had to wire in a specific ground for the leds. Now all is well. Yeah for me.
