I took out all the heating and air condition stuff out of my '82 CJ including the hoses to the pump and radiator and don't plan on putting any of it back it (doesn't work, don't drive it enough to need it, don't feel like replacing it and am painting the inside). My question is what can I do about the two holes to the water pump from where those hoses were. I can't just leave it how it is I'm assuming. Thanks a lot guys.

You can connect a hose between the two holes (on is and inlet the other an outlet), cut a small length of hose and plug it for each hole or I got some rubber caps for under a chair leg and used them to cap mine with a hose clamp.

I bet others have some creative ways of blocking those holes also. :)

I always made a loop. jump from one to the other. I don't think it is absolutely needed to have the coolant flowing , but this is easy and you already have the hose and clamps. The only time I have done this is when I broke a heater hose or the heater coil was leaking and I needed to make it home.

when my heater core went out i took the hoses off the core and stuck a pipe in between them and clapped them. drove all summer like that until i changed the core and put a blazer blower motor in this fall.
