This last Saturday, I took my lady (Leslie) to Burney Falls, CA https://www.google.com/search?q=bur...RMMeziQLjosWaCQ&ved=0CEcQsAQ&biw=1280&bih=813

We hiked down to the bottom of the falls after a small picnic, and I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.

She said yes, of course (or I'd not be talking about it )

Didn't take the Jeep and somehow got a tick hitchhiker on my rear belt line... (might have got off the hiking trails for a few min too long... ;) )

Other than that, was a perfect day!

Cheers! :chug:

True  We were in her car, but I did have the keys... ;)

Ummm... who took the picture?

I actually slyly ran a little behind for a sec, and when she wasn't looking passed my camera to another couple who was 2walking away before I caught them.

Figured I'd be luck and get some good pics, or none at all and camera stolen...

Congratulations........Both JR & Leslie .............Burney Falls , Hiway 89 , Hat Creek
, Lassen, nice choice...........did you bring a fishing pole?

I didn't, but wish I would have!

Tons of fly fishers, though I didn't see anyone that caught one...

And thanks :chug:

Congratulations JR !!!
I did the same thing at a waterfall in NC last summer....
(the proposal.. not the off trail "hike" )
Nicely done!!:chug:

Congrats JR - Good spot for a proposal - shows a lot of style and flair.

My wife still gives me a hard time for proposing in the car, with a waterski between the seats  but that was 38 years ago when I was young, impulsive and couldn't wait after I came up with the ring.

Good Luck to you both - Bill :chug:
