CJ7 86, 4.0L, T5, Dana300, front Dana30, rear Dana44, disc brakes front and rear, twin sticks, 33x10.5 r15, RE 2.5"lift and yj shakles 2" bodylift
I just put a new tub on a TDK frame and the result was great.
9 of the mounts fit and one need "some" adjustment, but finally worked.
I also added a 1" bodylift. And now my cj is very high.
even with 31" tires from bottom to the rolebar 2,01m
Before the swap I had 1,93m even with 33" tires.
The bodylift cannot make the difference.
Are the bodymounts of the frame ore the frame itself, that much different to original frame.

Any experiance out there?
Thanks
Frank

I would suggest comparing it to a body lifted CJ7 . Like the total distance from the top of my frame to the body is around 1 1/2", with a 1" body lift. This is at a location under the seat.

Thanks,

I went to the cj and at the bodymount under the driverseat there is a distance between frame and body of 6cm (almost 2 1/2")
So it seams that the frame already includes a 1" lift.

good that I used the m.o.r.e. bodylift, so I can pull the aluminum pucs. and the rest can stay.

interesting that the aftermarket frame is built like that. At that location, my body mount hole location on the original frame is mounted about 1/4" below the top of the frame. When you remove those pucks, I would think it would make for a more secure way to mount the body.

This is a good comparison.
But @Woolyworm, did your cj become highe at all.
I had some difficulties getting the engine in. The frame is slightly more narrow and I had to adjust the engine mounts.

:)

Anytime your dealing with after-market components..........all bets are off that they will fit exactly as perhaps a factory OEM part would........As far as height: The drop in the frame rails F/R could be different as will as the height of the installed spring hangers.......just to many variables ..........just make it fit your needs.

The Clutch link was too short and I put a joint to it.
