took the hard top off and....

hey guys...It has been sunny and in the 80's here in so cal for a couple days now and should stay that way for a week atleast.. so i took off my hard top for the first time since buying the jeep a few months ago.its an 84 CJ7 ..... the rail edge around the top is a little beat up. with holes and dents.and the paint doesn't match... I would like to cover it with some sort of rail.. is a soft top rail my only option here??its the only thing ive seen and it looks like it would fit the bill.but just checking if there is anything else. just to clean up the look of it... any suggestions? thanks alot..

Pretty Jeep. I like that color... I just took my hard top off as well and found the same problem. I'm in the midst of Rhino Lining the entire tub and I'm going to go up and over where the hard top rubs, just for that same reason. This doesn't solve your problem, but you might look at putting some weather strip on the hard top so it won't rub in the future.
