transmission alignment cj7

Help I am installing a 360 v8 in my CJ7 , doing a complete restoration, I have mounted the engine, Transmission , Transfer Case and Transmission mounting plate. After this I notice that the Transmission is off center, it is more to the passenger side by about 2 inches is this correct?

If the bolt holes line up and the tranny is mounted flush to the bell housing, you should be good to go.

Loosen the engine mount bolts, both on the engine and at the frame.
You may have better luck with line-up then.
Still-May need to use a chain and turnbuckle to 'pull' the tail over.

Yep, the tranny is mounted off center. Just use the existing holes on the skid plate and all should be good.
