I spent a few hours today trying to install a bulltear serpentine setup. That process is hard enough because they do not include written instructions and the only instructions available online are for the with out ac setup.

I was having a heck of a time getting the alternator bracket installed. After carfully studying bull tears pics I am sure that I have the bracket mounts in the right spot but I think that my problem is the AC bracket I pictured above. I have never had a 360 with the sanden set up and I thought the bracket looked weird but since I had never seen that setup in person I thought maybe it was right.

As it is right now I can finagle the alternator bracket in place but since this current AC bracket is sharing a mount with the upper alternator bolt I can't install the alternator.

So is this the correct bracket and installed incorrectly, if not what does the stock ac bracket look like so i can try to find one.

Some More shots of the offending bracket.

so I confirmed today that the PO somehow reused a 6 cylinder mount bracket on the 360. That really sucks because I have a feeling it is going to be hard to source the correct bracket.

See what you can find from the full size guys. You have a better chance that a Wagoneer is going to have the right a/c brackets for an 8 cylinder.

Keep me in mind for the 6 cylinder pieces. :)

If you want this bastardized ac bracket she is all yours. Anything you want out of the old AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l wiring harness that i stripped out? probably the only potentials worth saving from it really are the ign control module or that emissions ecu behind the glove box

All those washers, oh my. The term bastardized is an understatement. You should be able to find the AC bracket from a Wagoneer with little problem. Didn't all Wagoneers have AC? I could ask the guys at Willy's Works if they have a bracket?

By-the-way, my alternator bracket goes in the bolt hole ABOVE the hole you used. Believe me I tried to use that hole, but finally figured out that I had the wrong one. Even with the right brackets it is interesting figuring out how and where the right length and size bolts go in the AC/Alternator/Fan arrangement. It looks like you've added another level of frustration. Maybe not though, it looks like your set-up has Alternator brackets milled in the system. If that is the case your golden....
