Well, most of the storm has passed and I can't begin to tell you how much of a pain this non-hurricane is / was. I have amassed over 16 inches of rain and I'm still without power. ![Mad  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
I'm posting from work again as I am charging up the UPS'es, just waiting to go home. If I have no electricity by nine or so I'm going to start up the generator. Gotta do what you gotta do...![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
I was listening to the scanner during the evening and there were flash floods everywhere. I don't envy the emergency workers at all, I'm very glad I did not need to be out in the middle of that junk!
LOL - on my way to work I heard a Deputy Sheriff calling in about several cars that had decided to go around the barricades they had placed to warn about high water. They were of course drowned (the vehicles) and needing emergency attention. The ladder truck was being dispatched to drag them off of the roof of their cars. The Deputy at the scene asked if they needed to rearrange the barriers so others would not attempt the same feat - I love the reply from the Sheriff - cancel the tow truck and just leave the cars in the water, that should let others know how deep the water is!
