After getting this to work, and then that would stop working, I got a little tired of messing around, and pulled the trigger on a new wiring harness from Centech. I read all the reviews, and looked at painless close, and went with Centech. I did,nt really know about EZ wiring, but would of probably went with my choice anyway. Now the wait is on, until it arrives. I'm sure one might be better than the other, but you have to make the best of what you got. Either way, new wiring has to be better than the mess I got now. Besides it's nice to know what everything is in your jeep.

Im in the process of installing a EZ wire harness in my Jeep. The biggest thing with the wiring is do the head light relay upgrade. Even my new EZ wire kit used 16 ga wires for the head lights and high beams through the head light switch.. by usingthe relay it allows you to use your stock switch to activate the high or low beams but you run your power for them directly through the battery to the head lights so it keeps all that draw in the engine compartment and will keep your lights alot brighter and more dependable.

I also run a relay to power my electric choke even though the ez kit comes with a designated choke hot wire. the relay is switched on by the exciter wire from the altenator to switch the relay on so the choke only heats up when the motor is running. IF you wire it direct to a ignition hot source it will heat up with the key in the on position and causes the jeep to start hard. and run like poop until the motor warm up to operating temp.

Post some pics of the install.. Ive never seen a centech kit so I dont know how they are built.. good luck.

Thanks for the info. I will try to post some pics and explain what I'm doing. I had trouble posting pics before, but I'll try to figure it out. It did'nt want to upload for some reason. I hope I get the centech mon.
