I've got an 84 CJ7 , AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l I6, T-5 ....I'm trying to decipher what the PO has done to the engine/ electrical. I've read through a lot of threads but none seem to be similar. I want to eliminate the emissions and electrical components and run a basic/ minimal setup. I'm not familiar with what should be hooked up or if everything is hooked up correctly. It seems to be running fine right now, just a lot of disconnected stuff just hanging loose. Any help figuring out what bypasses/ modifications have been done would be great.
I've got the FSM and I'm an aircraft mechanic by trade, so I can handle most any task as long as I have an initial clue. I'm gonna try to post pictures if I can figure out how.

The only vac you should need is the Pcv, brakes, and vac advance to the dissy.

You should keep the fuel return line. It looked in your pic like most of the canister had been pluged.
