Just what the title says not sure what to add for an 86 CJ7 with a 5 speed. My haynes manual says nothing but it is pretty rough and missing a few pages.

Thanks

If it's a 300 tc.(it should be if stock) it takes 80-90 gear lube.

you need to find out what Tcase you have, then get the spec for that, there are so many choices out there and many take different fluids, some even take fluids with friction modifiers.
Old Dog has given you the stock answer, but you need to make sure it is the stock case.

this jeep came from a friend who got it off the origional owner. He did all the work on the jeep since new and he said the case is stock. So 80-90 it is. I have only had experences with chevy trucks which most of them just take tranny fluid figured i would make sure.

The T-5 takes tranny fluid and the 300 takes gear oil.

I like redline brand fluids.

Make sure it's a 300 if it's something different you can have issues.
