Found a set of black rocks that I like. My confusion is ordering center caps. The front looks factory, If I get open ended, does it just slide over the hub?

my dad had center caps on his jeep when he got it. they just put the front ones over the lockouts and made it so you couldnt get to them  i took them off and cut the end off with the chop saw. but yes they go over the hub before the wheel goes on.

It seems as though it will look crappy. The base is wider, so the open end would have tons of room around the lockout. Should I skip center caps

i would skip them on the front and put them on the rear.

Yeah, that's what I'll do. Thanks. Never bought wheels before, thanks for the input

With the hub covers going on before the wheels, and having to take the wheel off to get to underneath it, is there a purpose for the design like that? Or just for looks.

Not an expert but I believe you would order 2- regular center caps
and 2- open end center cap
this will give you access to locking hubs and give the wheels a finished look. Both styles install from back of wheel. Or leave off all 4 .

I see the closed ones, ill look around for open

I run the rear (closed) ones but do not run any in the front. The open ones just collect dirt and mud around the hub.

i got 2 open 2 closed when i got my pro comps...look pretty goog.
