will a 14" rim fit a 1980 CJ5?

Not sure if this is the right place for this question, if not I hope a moderator will be kind enough to move it. Now for my question, does anyone know if a 14" rim will clear the brake caliper setup on a 1980 CJ5 ? Thanks in advance for any help, Eddie

lol that is funny, but nowhere near close. I didn't want this to turn into a guess what I'm doing thread but here is a hint: the tire I am planning to use on a 14" rim has a 32.5" diameter

I highly doubt it. I put some 15 in. wheels on my Cj and told them I wanted the wheel wieghts on the back side of the wheels. Their maybe 1/4 in thick and the caliper ripped them right off. Mine is an 85 but someone swapped in narrow trac axles so they should be comparable to yours.

Well mine are 15 x10. Maybe with a different offset??? I just dont think theres alot of room there.

If mine is as close as yours I will have to do some major fab work to make a 14" rim slid as far over the back half of a 15" rim as possible??? I guess if stopping wasn't an issue I could just delete the calipers.....lmbo

Pete I got the Jeep here and it is just like in your pic. maybe have 1/4 clearance with 15's.....oh well. I have been having a blast in it the last 2 days!!!
