both are quality companies. I would check around on pricing before commiting to Quadratec. You might find something cheaper. Check out Morris 4x4 center at the top, their prices appear to be a bit better.

As CJK said bath companies are good. I have had good luck with my superlift 4' lift.
I also agree thoes prices are kinda high.

Thanks for the replies. I am still in research mode and only posted the links from Quadratec so as to compare apples to apples.

The Rancho springs I had were pretty stiff. Not sure if a spring with only an inch of lift would be the same. I have yet to get some Superlift springs but have heard good things as far as ride quality.

I went with Rancho 1" lift springs on my 83 CJ7 . I too wanted 31s with adequate room. Looks perfect, although a little stiff compared to stock. Works great with RS 9000s, setting # 3.

this is a first for me, to ask why you only want 1" lift and ask why you would not go with more. I believe you can go to 2 1/2 with no affect on the suspension dynamics and even longer brake hoses would be at your discretion. this will give the option of 33" tires which I would not choose for a daily driver but may be an option down the line. I guess the point is the extra 1 1/2 inch will not be incredibly noticeable and give the most pow for your Peso.
It is so seldom that a post suggests error on the side of sanity, it's just out of character for this group. I don't know how to deal with this.
I would say that you will not be doing anything wrong one way or the other, go for it.
I am not a great fan of Rancho springs, it has been quite a while but when I used them I considered the term Harsh to be an understatement. I am a fan of skyjacker and old man Emu. both are a bit pricey in comparison but it's the choice between a lazy boy and a church pew, it's your choice.

It is a decision I mulled over for literally years. The defining question is what are you going to do with the vehicle? I admit 33s look fantastic, especially on 10" Weld draglites...but my goal was to return to stock (and fix the numerous AMC engineering SNAFUs in the process). I can see both sides of the argument, because I have been on both sides of the fence. Build it - and if you don't like it, change it. I've had my Jeep for over 25 years - and it has been evolving. I'm sure it will look different in another 25 years compared to how it looks today.

i have a 2.5" lift and 31s. just if you want to see what it looks like.

Thanks for more replies. Good points about the 2.5" lift versus 1" lift. There does seem to be a lot more choices when looking at 2.5" lifts as well.

always happy to muddy up the water for a fellow Jeeper.:D
all roads lead to another road.
