Seen a picture on line of a cj with a 14" lift. How is it possible to get a jeep that high? Wouldn't the drive shafts be on soo much of an angle. Wouldn't the steering be messed up?

Anything can be built, maybe it is just a street Jeep. One of the advantages of a CJ off road is that it can get into some pretty tight spots, overhanging rock ledges and tree branches for example. When driving along a cliff, and when the going gets tippy, a low center of gravity is a good thing. On the other hand, sometimes you have to clear big rocks and have a good breakover angle.

Post the picture. :D 14 inches of lift is always interesting.

must have a serious tcase drop

Even if you have to drop the drivetrain alot putting 48s under it should more than make up for it

Was it stupid looking?

I think 5s look the best with a 33-35max.

Heres some i thought you guys would like :D

dude, check that pinion angle.

Not a Jeep but here's a local ride with 12" of suspension lift and another 18" of hydraulic lift. And it is drivable when fully lifted. But rides like this and the ones above are for show and street only..... except for that yellow one w/ the textured black doors!

Yep you like my sweet custom lift I installed? You think I'll have bump steer? :)

I'm going to put a system like that on mine only better.

The square tubing is going to telescope. I'm installing some springs off a pogo stick in between the two pieces. DUAL SUSPENSION!

Dude, if your going to do that make sure it is a Pre '80 pogo stick because after that hey shipped manufacturing to China and the whole line went to :dung:.

The dude that built that yellow one has a brother that built this one.

I got some great ideas to lift my jeep off this thread. I do have a welding machine and sawz all. The yellow CJ7 was my favorite.

People are nuts. On the green military jeep, is that some pitman arm extension tube in the middle or how do you steer these damn things?
