16 inch wheels on a CJ7?

I tried the search engine and didn't find anything about putting 16 in wheels on a CJ7 . Has anybody put 16 inch wheels on one? I am looking for steel wheels ( 5 on 5.5") that will fit. I know some older Ford trucks and some Dodge Dakotas have 16 inch wheels that are 5 on 5.5" lug pattern, but I am told the center hole is not big enough to fit over the hubs on the CJ. I wouldn't go to all the trouble but I already have a set of four 16 inch BFG E-rated tires off my Toyota that I want to use on the Jeep. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

16X8 TYPE 98 BLACK - PRO COMP


Most of the steelies offer a 16" rim with a 5x5.5" BP. My search turned up dozens of options: summit, Jegs, NTWonline, quadratec....

I am running 16's with 265/70/16 . I have a narrow trac 1980 CJ7 so I am using wheel spacers as well. I would like to switch back to 15's but don't have the cash right now.
