So while the seats are being replaced, it has been sitting in the garage. Once or twice a week, I would start it up just to keep the fluids going. I noticed the pressure was high a few weeks ago. Today while running, I noticed the pressure drop and the engine flat shut off.

Trying to get it restarted and nothing has worked. Checked the carbuerator, lines, and oil. All seem perfectly good to go. Though there is a heavy gas smell that appears when attempting to start. Now, however, when I go to start it pressure starts and zero and builds up to about 20 but will not go higher. Engine turns over but will not start and depressing the gas does not get the rpms up at all.

I'm thinking fuel injection line. But does anyone here have any experience with this? Jeep was a gift from my grandfather who restored it.

This could be an ignition issue, have you checked for spark? Like there could be an issue with the breaker points or condenser. If that is the ignition that you have.

You said you checked the carburetor but then said you think it's the fuel injection line? If it has a carburetor 20 is way to high but not for fuel injection you haven't filled out your profile so we have no idea what you are working on other than a '46 CJ2a .

PLEASE-fill out your vehicle info so we know if you have FI or carb. etc.

How old is the gas? Without stabilizer gas today is only good for about 3 months. If it's older than that I'll bet that is your problem.
