1960 cj5 f134 came with metal half cab and snow plow.
I bought this CJ5 1960 Willys Jeep July 2012 for my 13 year old twins and I to restore. I have been searching the internet for pictures of the dash mounted clock but cannot find any. Any clues or information would be appreciated. More pictures to follow.

nice...the cab kinda sorta looks to me like some of the old fords from back in the day. (not trying to be smart, i know im young). :ww: from texas, keep the pics coming.

That should be a fun project, I like the oldies.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you need any help or have any questions,I am about half way through my 1960 CJ5 Resto. Since we are not that far apart. Joe:D:D:D

Hello Joe,
I Came across your rebuild thread and was very impressed. I too, believe the Jeeps are similar. My sons and I have it stripped down and the frame sandblasted, epoxy primed and top coated with PPG single stage acrylic urethane. It probably is overkill but sure looks nice. The paint shop guy gave me the best off the shelve since I had no clue at the time about primers and paints. I grew up in Kansas City 1978 Shawnee Mission North, how about you? I would be interested in picking your brain since you are farther down the rebuild road than I am. Davin

OOPs, here are the new pictures.

Oh Gee - I am loving your CJ!!..:D

I have a '59 all torn apart (but no build thread...), so I will be watching how things come along. I have really been enjoying Joe's (0822) build. Do I see a PTO shift handle poking up in one of those pics?

I really love these classic CJ's!!

My '54 3B has a half cab very much like yours. Mine has the three windows in the back, so I think it is a Koenig 555 Super. I'll guess yours is a Koenig 535 Standard Model. Check out this link for more info: Koenig Jeep Cabs on The CJ3B Page

My '59 has a full Kelly hard cab (which is in the barn with all the body parts waiting for space in the shop....)

My '67 came with a plow, but I think we are going to put that on the '54 3B to use on the farm here. Pics in my gallery.:D

Oh, and :ww: from Wisconsin!!!!...:chug:

Pulling the stuck engine

There is no PTO on this Jeep.
The engine was stuck and greasy. Neighbors happened to stop by and jumped in for the engine pull

Pretty tough looking crew there! :D
Great project to get the young men involved in.

:)Davin ,

That Hydraulic cylinder up front I would think ran off of a PTO of some sort perhaps off your Transfer Case ...........turning a Hydraulic pump. Looks like a lever between the seat?

Nice little project! Good Luck.
:D:D:D:D

The hydraulics were powered by a pump driven off the engine. The lever to control the cylinder was located between the seats. The pictures show us taking the tub off with a 1086 Tractor and loader.

Great pics looks like you have alot of really good help :popcorn:

Re: 1960 CJ5 restoration project update

Took some pictures of progress made this Holiday weekend. I decided to upgrade the brakes to disc. The brackets are off a 1984 chevy 4x4. The calipers are new that would fit the 1984 chevy. I had to switch out the studs to longer studs and grind the caliper and knuckle so the caliper can slide when the pads wear down. I see the kits on the internet can go for upwards of $600. I have $300 in the calipers, pads, backing plate, rotor (1976 scout), brake lines, and studs. I decided to switch over to disc brakes because I have teen drivers that will be using this Jeep when finished. The pictures show the backing plates and calipers plus the knuckle and hub. My 13 year old son loves to use the cabinet sand blaster which really helps cleaning up the old parts.Hope everyone had a great Holiday weekend. I hope Joe had good luck putting in the floor on his 1960 Jeep. I plan on putting the Dana 25 back together this weekend. The heated garage is must in this cold weather.
