I’m new. Sorry if this is a stupid question. I have a 1968 CJ5 , awesome. Inherited from my grandpa; great condition. However, all of a sudden the wipers stopped working. I turn the knob and hear nothing; nothing moves. I just do not know enough. Is this possibly a fuse? If so, does anyone know where it would be? If not a fuse, is it a “switch/part” that I should replace? Where would I find that? I thank you all in advance.

Sweet welcome aboard, I’m not sure where the fuses are on a 68 but they might be under the dash by the steering column like my 83

Should be either the switch fuse motor or bad ground

We would love to see pics of your Jeep

We have a '67 5, and a few other jeeps. I am not home right now or I would check for you. I suggest you get a factory service manual which will include wiring information. You can download a pdf copy in the small jeeps section of oljeep.com.
Sometimes the mechanism is worn and binds which can blow a fuse. Do you have power at the wiper motor or at the switch? Make sure you have a dedicated ground as these old jeeps tend to rely on the body and windshield hinges to carry the ground and that can fail. These top mounted wipers have a lot exposed, so you could also run a fused wire and ground directly from a 12 volt source with the original wiring disconnected just to make sure the motors are functional. A good wiring diagram and systematic approach should identify the problem. Good luck, great jeep and welcome to the forum!! [emoji3]

And I agree with what Gert suggested.

No fuse, wiper switch has circuit breaker.
Check the wiper feed wire from the ignition start switch to make sure you have power going to the wiper switch.
The back of the wiper switch will be marked "B" = battery
If you don't have power check your wiring to the switch.
If you have power to the switch you can disconnect the wires off the switch and run a test.
B to 1 is low speed connect those two wires to see if the motor works.
Make sure your switch is fasten to the dash properly a loose switch = bad ground.
