I am now the proud owner of my first jeep! Here is a picture from the day I got it. A good friend gave it to me. He put the wheels and tires on it. I wouldn't have chosen such big tires but hey...it's free. Motor starts and runs decent for sitting the past 10 years. I have had the jeep for about a month now and almost have it in driving order. I have completely overhauled the brake system with new everything. Just waiting on backordered front SS braided hoses.

I am now the proud owner of my first jeep!

Here is a picture from the day I got it.

A good friend gave it to me.

He put the wheels and tires on it.

I wouldn't have chosen such big tires but hey...it's free.

Nice '5, especially for the price! :D

If it was mine, I would:

1. Trade those wheels/tires for some factory steel wheel and smaller tires.

2. Freshen up the drive train, and get it driving nice.

3. Keep the patina 'paint', as it looks great IMO. You could hit it with some CLR and SOS pads.

4. Mount an old school Warn 8274 on the front bumper.

5. Drive it as much as possible.

Please continue to keep us updated with your progress/plans!
