1972 Jeep CJ5
304
3 speed
Well I picked up this 1972 CJ5 the other day. It needs a ton of work but I hated to see it go to the scrap yard. It has a 3 speed and the AMC 304 in it with a holley carb. Floors are rusted beyond repair, needs seats, tank is out, carb was unbolted....to be honest I don't even know where to start!

I pulled the intake off as it had a little bit of surface rust so wanted to check the rest of it out. Pulled the intake and got it cleaned up. Installed with a new felpro gasket and put it back on. I then didnt have gaskets for the carb and adapter plate so I grabbed some new ones and put it on. At the moment I'm not getting any fuel up to the carb. The tank is laying in the back seat and it has an electric fuel pump but I don't think it was mounted correctly. The mechanical fuel pump seems to have been bypassed? I hate trying to figure out :dung: that others have un-done :(

I'll get some pics up in a bit
