My clock doesnt work and the glass is foggy. Im going to replace it. Whats my best option? im looking at the Crown model J5761330 but the only review I can find is not very promising. Any other options?

I would try to do some searching to find someone local that could fix clocks or online. Depends on whether or not you want original or not and can handle the cost. Unless there is mass corrosion I would think it could be fixed. That is what I would attempt. There are a few people that like to tinker with clocks

I'm in the same boat. IIRC, it seems very few automotive clocks worked in cars in the 70s-80s, so it may be that the new ones are no better than the old. That said, you could have it fixed, there's places that do that. Rudy's CJs might have a good working original. Then there's the SpeedHut option...

Thanks everyone. Much appreciated

An hour meter would be a good upgrade for that clock space
Great for trail rides, and maintenance.

To say nut'n of the 'cool-factor'
Great idea!:chug:

I bought the crown replacement clock. The adjustment knob stick out of the midle of the face and block your view of the face betwen 6 to 8 o'clock. Most anoing.

I like the hour meter idea

For what it's worth, the speedhut CJ Clock is $79. It looks original, and more importantly it works. That said there's lots of options for that hole and an hourmeter is an excellent idea as well. Depends on what you're going after, are you going for function or are you going for OE look?

Lots of choices, I'm sure you'll make the right choice for your use.

Heck if Speedhut is giving them away for $79, buy it and gitter done

Not to mention the looks you'd get when someone asks what time it is and you point the hour meter..... "Looks like it's 237 o"clock"

OR.........It's 237 in Jeep Years. You know, like dog years compared to people years.

When I change the clock in my CJ I usually remove my titanium watch and put on one of the chrome plates ones...... :) Sorry, couldn't help it. I've been looking at the Speed Hut clocks. They look nice, I don't know if they have one in the stock size though. One thing I suggest, don't buy a cheap one, pay the money for quality.

They are the stock 2 5/8.
