when I try to restart my jeep after I have been driving and the engine is still hot, the engine struggles to turn over. If its cold, it turns over just fine. I have a amc 360 in it. Has any one had this issue?

Most likely your ground cable to the starter
If there is high resistance at cold temps it will get worse when hot
High resistance when hot = lower voltage
Check, clean or replace the cable
Voltage drop test will confirm

Posi is right, check that first.
It could also be that your ignition timing is set wrong. Try retarding it slightly and see if that helps.
If it does, I’ll write detailed instructions on how to “properly” set your timing. Do NOT use a light! Nor the spec in a book! Because of internal tolerances in your engine, that method will get you close but not exact.

Everything Posi said is right and, poor connections lead to increased resistance which is a self feeding situation. The warmer it gets the high the resistance the lower the voltage and repeat until you have no connection or you have caused premature failure to components. This is the same whether in your jeep, your equipment or your home. High resistance, poor coonections account for many types of failues.
