This rebuild is already complete but i figured i would post it anyways.

this was a father-son jeep project. I got this jeep august of 2010 and finished about 95% of it. i guess you could say it was a frame off resto, but anyways I bought this jeep for $900, it was a total piece of :dung:, the tub was god awful rusty and it ran good except for one minor issue, while driving our 45 min drive home we kept stalling out, like it was flooding or not getting enough gas and we stalled about a total of 15 times, yeah so that 45 minute ride turned into a 2 hour ride, it was terrible, we drove form 3 minutes and we stalled out. So finally we make it home, with my lack of skills because this was my first car i have ever worked on all i could do was clean the inside and wash it (idk why i even took the time to wash it, i had nothing to wash) just to take action in starting this project. After time we took the tub off and all, welded the frame painted it and replaced all brake/gas lines. Found a steel tub for 350 that was in excellent condition got it all primed and ready for paint. For the body mounts, they were :dung:, i only had 2 on there anyways, so i got a 2" body lift from performance accessories. I had to also get at this time a new grille and fenders, i got a grille for about $75 and luckily it came with a new radiator that was 1 year old, so i killed 2 birds with 1 stone there. Later on i found fenders for $100 for the pair, i thought they were good but when i painted the, the paint did not stick good to them well at all for some reason, it must have been what the guy put on that i bought them from .anyways, i got everything ready with a sand and prime, ready to be painted and assembled. actually first i put the tub on, then i started to paint. I went with omaha orange for the paint because i recently saw a orange jeep yj that looked awesome so i went with that. My father painted this because my skills were obviously not good enough for a paint job. so my cj is all painted and assembled, now comes the new wiring harness from kwik wiring, it was Farley easy, just that i could not find a good diagram to wire up under the hood, so we had to do guess and check, and fially got it to work, and as for the stalling problem, my electric choke was not hooked up, my father hooked it up and worked like a charm. So now here i am with a complete cj that was mostly completed on the day of my birthday as a present which was awesome, and now all i have left to do is hook up horn, get a radio, and inspection. This is just basically an overview of my rebuild, but form the pictures you will see i went through mush more than i listed.

here are some pics:
