1981 gearbox adjustments.

I was wondering if there is any rule of thumb for setting the adjustments on the gear box?
The steering is all over the place and I don't see any woren parts.
The inside of the gearbox looks good.

Caster angle issues maybe? Are you lifted? Properly? Most highly arched spring will bring the caster close to zero degree which is bad for wander. I a little info on your Jeep will go along way.
