1984 Jeep CJ7 Tub & Mounting Issue

I'm about to be ready to put a tub on my rolling chassis but I have 2 major problems:

1) No tub
2) No mounting hardware or bushings
2.5) 1 or more weak body mounts

The frame is an 84 CJ (as I'm told). I had a doner 79 CJ7 that I have numerous parts from including good condition seats, dash, stearing so an actual CJ7 tub would be perfered but I understand that a YJ tub would work as well. I have a 2.5'' suspension lift. Would I benefit from just buying the .5'' body lift kit?

I live in Bloomington IN and finding a tub near me would be helpful since I will have to ask a buddy to drive his truck to get it. I'm not against buying a new tub, seems to me like that would be the least painful approach. My goal with this build is NOT intended to be a show jeep I want to finish the project and have something that i could decide to use as a daily driver. I've put some time into cleaning up and painting everything so I'm not really interested in a rust bucket tub, it should be able to survive a chem dip.

Also, any reccomendations on fenders would be helpful. I dont like the plastic ones.

Body Mounts - dont really need all of them but i could replace them all

Do you have any pics of the frame? What do the front shock mounts look like, towers bolted to the side of the frame(82 & up) or short ones welded to the top(81 & older)?

That add from Qtec. is a great illustration of how these vendors can be misleading. Advanced Frame Works hasn't existed for years. The name was changed to Throttle Down Kustoms when Jeremy Pulse bought it out back in about 2005 I believe.

I would stay away from those Omix-ada bodies if I were you. Theres only one place that makes steel tubs anymore and that's MD-Juan in the Philippines. This is hwere they get them. These require some work to make them fit right. To their credit though the owner is making an effort to correct their shortcomings by asking users like us on these type Jeep boards. But if you look at Willy's Overland in Ohio, they take these tubs and make the proper corrections and guarantee a good fit. The price is higher though of course, right under 4 grand with shipping.
But yes they still make those weld on mounts.

Check out eBay for CJ parts and look for dealers in PA (not too far away) that are parting out Jeeps. Contact them, you may be able to find a good donner body. Beware that any solution you find could result in registration problems base on the vin plate attached to the tube and a different title or lack of title. I did this to findd a reduction unit for mt QT Transfer Case . Rod
