1985 jeep cj7 wont start

I know I know read the other therads good news is I have . I do not understnd why but my starter pushs the gear out but wont make it spin and I have not idea why I got a jump box on it and jumper cables and a new battery in it I got a new starter thinking that was it but all I hear is that dame click and nothing

Takes much'o AMP's to push and spin the starter gear. Have your battery load test'd for volts vs amps.
Pull the starter and look for broken gear teeth on the ring gear on the flywheel.
Have the starter test'd.

If you have a relay that just clicks, it could be the result of a weak battery, also a weak connection or a bad relay.
