1986 CJ7 stock carburator - this thing has a computer!

has anyone had to deal with this carburator and minor computer system,
I have heard it was the first year they incorporated the computer with the
ignition and fuel system. It is a pain in the . Has anyone switched out or just dealt with it. Maybe its no as bad as I think. Thanks

83 was the first year for the computer. I will give you a quick solution in the morning. Basically the nutter bypass and a Mc2100 carb along with an ignition upgrade and ditching most of the emission stuff if you can. Sounds easy huh?

Gotta take a nap before work now though.

wow thats a long nap , I'm going to do some searches on the nutter bypass, I'm not that savy when it comes to electrical let me know if you got anything else. Would be greatly appriciated.
