Hi I am new to this forum but am stuck so maybe someone can help. Does anyone know a company that makes a complete exhaust system for a 1969 CJ5 with the Dauntless Buick 225 V6 . I have looked everywhere and mostly it is all for the 4 cylinders. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I cant find one either, you might just have to take it to an exhaust shop when your ready

I have looked everywhere for an exhaust system for the V6 with no luck. On our 67 CJ5 , I am making my own exhaust system. On our 59 CJ5 with a 231 odd fire V6, I bought a set of fender well headers. The headers were for a 225, but they still fit. Pretty quick and easy to make your own exhaust system from the collectors back with generic pipes and elbows. I know that there are people who will caution you about under hood heat with headers, but you can wrap them to alleviate this problem. I believe that I got the headers from Summit.

I can confirm an exhaust is not available off the shelf. If you look in the factory manual you can see how it is supposed to be routed and take that to the shop to follow. If memory serves me correct the tube is to be 2" and crosses over from the passenger side to the driver side under the oil pan. Then it stays 2" and exits on the driver side. At least that is what I recall needing for my 71 which is very late model.

Now I remember why I didnt think anyone made a Dauntless Buick 225 V6 exhaust - its because I have a 71 with the tank in the rear and I believe everything I found has the muffler there. Prove me wrong please!

Purchase the header pipe and run your own...or let the local muffler shop build from the header pipe back as you see fit.
