Hey guys, I've been sitting here wondering why most people now days call the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . But yet thoes say people usually say AMC 304 , 360, or 401 and not 5.0, 5.9, or 6.6 or what ever a 401 would be. Just seems odd to me.
Heck I still say I've got a 350 not a 5.7. Am I just getting old or what.

Just another way that the metric system confuses me.
Tires are another one. Just confounds me.
Two fitty ate sounds better.

have a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l in my Jeep! Liters are for soda bottles, damn egghead eurotrash. .

I've found my new sig

35s make sense 33s make sense. Metric tire sizes drive me crazy.

X's 100 on that. Just tell me what size it is, don't make me get a calculator to figure it out.

blame it on the parts house. I don't think AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l even shows up on the computer.
it seems that a lot of conversations are about the comparisons and conversions with the 4.0 and I don't, off hand, even know how many CID a 4.0 is.:D

says the guy with the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l in his Jeep!

I have no idea what you're talking about ...

en people ask what size tires I have I say 33's
the sidewall however says 285/75/16.

I also use AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l , 350, 302, except in my GMC it's a 4.8
use that as 293 confuses the idiots.
