AMC 304 , 360 etc, Anyone change their rocker arms? I bought a cheap set from rock auto and after 4 months they are louder than the worn stock ones. was looking at roller rockers but looks like some machining may have to be done for the posts and a gamble if the pushrods will have to be changed. anyone have a success story?

Harland Sharp are about the only ones who have them in stock. Very well made. They are 1.6 ratio. You have to have screw in studs for the guide plates. They make them for 3/8" and 7/16" dia. studs I use 7/16" on my 401 (now 473). I was able to use factory length cromoly push rods but it would be best to us an adjustable pushrod to verify your needed length. Thefactory dia. of the pushrod is 5/16" and 7.794" in length.

I've seen a few posts for using those but the cost is a bit high for a basically stock engine. which aluminum heads are you using, and is that a 401?

It's a 401cu now 473cu bored and stroked, cross drilled crank, oiling mods, Lunati roller cam, Edelbrock #60119 Performer RPM Cylinder Heads (custom CNC ported by me), titanium tulip valves, Edelbrock sequential EFI (custom CNC ported by me) with larger 75 lbs./hr. injectors, crank trigger and a few other things. I originally built it for sand drags. Runs best on E85 but I can change tune for 91 as needed. Dynod 700+ and has a 300 Nitrous Express sytem (for fun.) :)
