I currently run 33 x 12.5's on 15 x 10 wheels. They stick out pretty far so I had put on aftermarket oversize flares. I hate the way they look.

I am doing a tub swap and will be going back to stock flares. My question is will 33 x 10.5's on STOCK 7" wide CJ7 wheels fit under the stock flares, presenting no issues at inspection?

Any advice or pics would be great...thanks!

pretty sure they will still hang out past stock flares just not as bad, Of course that will depend on the backspacing of the new 7" ( I would go 8") wheels/rims.

Mine are only 31 10.5 on 15 x8 rims but they dont stick out past the flare. Pics to come after work.

Sorry almost forgot. A 10.5 in. tire shouldnt give you a hassle on a 7 in. rim. No real big deal with an 8 in. rim either. What tire are you going to be running? Some run actual measurement wise bigger or smaller. Mine are Goodyear Wrangler AT's

Ok. I will probably run Pro Comp Mud Terrains, 33" x 10.5". I am just going to use my stock 7" wide wheels until I figure out what after market wheels I want.

I would like the tires to come flush with the flare. PA is really annoying with the inspection law. And my interpretation of that particular part of the inspection code is that flares may not exceed 3", thus making my 7" flares illegal.

Thanks for the input!

Your right about the Pa. code. It leaves alot to interpetation. I was fined for it on My old Xj with 33 12.5 on it. They stuck out an inch in the rear. Tj flares cover 12.5 wide nicely. You just have to make sure you use the sidemarkers from one also.

But tj flairs are over 3" so how do they get away with it?

Oh yea I'm glad I don't live in PA.

Yes Pa. is a p.i.t.a. Most likely Tj flares fly because the look stock. There was just a post on a local board about a guy getting fined for the Jk fenders , calling them flares. Luckily he got it straightened out but it was a hassle.
