PO put on what he said were 4" lift springs and new shocks. What are the potential problems with u-joints, Transfer Case , tranny or driveshaft ? I really don't need this lift, as I am going to change to 29" tires because I am going for the stock look. I know the 35" tires are way too big for the rear end anyway. Any advise freely accepted. Thanks.

Drop pitman arm? CV driveshaft? longer brake lines?
If you are planing on 29" tires you want to go back to stock suspension in my view. It would look silly in anything smaller than 33" tires with a 4" lft.

It has a new drop pitman arm, so I'm guessing I would need a stock one if I switch back. The brake lines at the master cylinder appear almost new, but the drive shafts look original. It was a half <-BAD WORD-> install anyway, since the PO did not put spring plates on that had a stud for the sway bar link, and my sway bar is just hanging there.

Re: 4" spring lift, any potential problems ?

My main question in the original post was to find out what problems may arise from the 4" lift if I leave it on .

If the lift is done properly, you won't have any issues. The drop pitman arm, longer brake lines, and tires that are properly sized so there is no rub are the main issues. Steering is another one if attention is not paid to the correct geometry. These are all things that would have to be put back to original if dropping back to the 29" tires.
