I did a dry run, then a 2nd try with gasket and Permatex and an now on my 3rd try. I cannot get the Dana 20 to complete the last 1/8th inch to mate up to the T-14 . Any common issues I should be looking for?
Did you have either the Transfer Case or Transmission apart? If you did, I would check the installation of everything to make sure everything is in proper order. Did you remove the bull gear from the Transmission ? If so, make sure that it went all the way back on. If all you did was split them apart, shift the rear Transfer Case output into gear, put the Transmission in gear and rotate the output yoke on the Transfer Case while gently wiggling it to line things up. Do not try to force things together by drawing them together with the bolts using a wrench. You can try using the bolts to draw things together, but I would only use my fingers to turn the socket.
