just got a CJ5 and need a little clearance for tires so i figured spring over would be the cheep way to go not to sure wat to look out for. i heard i possibly might have to lengthen my drive shafts or do a Transfer Case drop. not really looking to get to into this jeep, want to upgrade in the jeep world a little bit. thanks

If you are doing an SOA because it is cheep, your going to be disappointed.

To do a SOA properly is not cheap.

What's your definition of "a little clearance"?

SOA will give you 6" to 8" depending on the spring pack height.

Consider a 2 - 4" spring lift. :)

Like they all said, a soa will cost alot more than a sua lift kit.
It also sounds like it will give you alot more lift than your looking for.

You get a discount from our sponsers...

i think i will try the spring lift any recommended places to get the lift

This kit Jeep CJ Suspension Specials @ NTW
was made my superlift in the past. I'd call and make sure who's making it now, but I've been happy with my 4" from them.
To run 35's you will need to run a body lift too, or do some fender triming.:D

Or as in my case, to run 35" Swampers...
4" suspension lift
2" shackle lift
Cut every corner to the MAX to keep the tires from self-destructing on the fenders.

4" lift alone probably ain't gunna clear those 35" tires...
