Steering 74 cj5 steering column

I recently acquired a 74cj5 and where the steering column passes through firewall it has a lot of slop, as if there is a missing bearing or bushing. Looking for advice/ info on how to approach and if there are parts available to fix.

If it has a stock column (just a round tube) the should be a bearing at the bottom of the tube that centers the steering shaft and does not allow slop. Some later 74's have a GM type column. Can you take a pic of the column with the wheel and one inside the engine bay at the firewall?

Any idea where I would find that bearing or locate a part number/ schematic that shows part. I can find parts from 71’ and older and 76’ and newer but having difficulty finding parts for 72’- 75’.

You do not need to post interior pics. That is a stock 74 column. I have a 72 and it's the same.
I'll get you rebuild kit numbers as well as other info when I get home I'm on my phone right now having some wings and a .
Gotta have priorities...

BTW, there is a replacement bearing also that the nylon bushing fits in. 10.346-1. There is a complete replacement assembly with no bushing.

I see in schematic it appears there is a washer that I assume retains bearing/ bushing, do you know what is supposed to hold washer in place?
Also, is bearing pressed in?

This is a picture of my buddies 73’, it appears connection from lower steering shaft is different than mine, what do you think?
