I'm doing a frame-off of a '75 CJ5 . It's a resto-mod as I'm making some upgrades and adding some aircraft theme to the build.

Very nice. I'm also overhauling a 75 but it is a lot more "rough and ready" than this pretty work. :) I'm dealing with a painful, er, painless re-wire right now.

Keep up the nice work and pictures! I do love the intermediate 5s!

Nice work so far, look forward to watching your rebuild.

Thanks guys! Hey BC CJ, I will be doing the painless wiring thing too pretty soon. I have a question for ya. I bought the 21 gallon poly tank along with the new skid plate and skid plate extensions. It appears that I may have the '76 and newer version as the extensions are too wide for the crossmember that the front part of the tank mounts to. Do you still have the 15 gal one in yours?

BIGTRUCKNUT, thanks man and Semper Fi right back.

Welcome aboard from Texas :chug: nice resto job

I hope you kept your old wiring harness! I have used it a lot to confirm what goes where and also needed to re-use some stuff (all the wiring from the turn signal to the hazard switch for example - not in the painless kit I bought)

Yeah in 1976 they widened the rear of the frame; hopefully you can make it work. My Jeep is on propane, no more gas tank :)

I've got a 15 gallon poly in mine. It slips right in with not much to spare. Twin sticks -looks like someone is planning on having some fun! :D
