So the lift plan is 2.5in springs and heavy duty shackles with about 1in lift to net 3 inches or so. iv read that a drop pitman arm should be used with a 4in leaf spring lift, do i need or should i get the drop pitman arm if i plan for only around 3.5 inches of lift??? and when buying the leaf springs what would work best with my 1975 CJ5 /AMC 232 i6 i dont have heavy bumpers or add on's that weigh it down (yet) i see differant numbers of leafs with the spring that can be purchased from 5-7-9/10 leaf what set up whould be recomended for the 2-2.5in lift how many leafs front/back for good flex and ride :D and as for bushings/hardwear/ect what should i start with for a set up like this...

You should not need the drop pitman arm with only 3.5.

Replace what you have with the same number of springs. If you have a 5 spring pack and go higher, without adding other weight, you will get a rougher ride.

As for the hardware, check out Morris, you get a discount, and the Warrior HD shackels are pretty good. A good set of poly bushings and you will be good to go
